From the moment we saw him our lives changed forever. We didn't know what love or joy was until he was born. Looking back, our life before parenthood seems empty.
We are overwhelmed everyday with the fiercest tenderness and affection for this one little person. Everything he does amazes us. We put him in bed at night and then long to see him again. We can't wait until morning to hold him, tickle him, roll the ball to him.
The first year was a special journey. From a helpless, squirming little bundle to a crawling, standing, babbling, playful toddler, it has been an incredible transformation. It went so fast, it is hard to believe.
There was nothing to prepare us for these feelings, this attachment, this primal aching in our hearts. Every minute we are so grateful that this little boy has come into our lives. It is better than we ever could have imagined.
